Jobs Readiness Program
The Urban League’s Work Readiness Program uses a classroom based curriculum to prepare individuals to successfully locate and retain positions of employment. Empowering the chronically unemployed is a key component of the program.
Greater Stark County Urban League has been selected by the Stark County Common Pleas Re-Entry Program to be the primary provider of re-entry services for their clients. In that capacity, we provide soft skills training, job development and on-the-job coaching services. This program focuses on the positive growth in the lives reentering the community after serving their sentence. Understanding the challenges they face seeking jobs, finding homes and building relationships.
To build relationships of trust, fellowship and love by giving back to the community.
To encourage them to pursue their life goals through mentoring, training and education
To provide the basic needs, resources, or referrals for food, shelter, clothing, and health care.
To provide opportunities that will develop responsibility, interdependence and life skills.
For more information about any of these programs, contact Greater Stark County Urban League at 330-754-1576.
